Rustins High Heat Black Paint is touch dry in just 15 minutes, leaving a stylish matt finish. It can easily endure typical barbecue temperatures and even roaring fireplace heat, which in the most extreme case rarely exceeds 540 degrees centigrade.
During preparation, the surface must be clean, dry and free from grease, dust rust and other contaminants. Remove all rust with a scrapper or use Rustins Rust Remover. Stir well before use until there is no sediment on the bottom of the tin. Apply with a bristle paintbrush. The paint may be sprayed but may require dilution with Xylene Thinners.
Only one light coat should be applied. The surface will be touch dry within 15 minutes and can be handled in an hour in good conditions. The painted article if air dried will become fully cured once it has been heated up to between 200 - 220° C for approximately 20 minutes. The paint should not be re-coated.
Coverage is 15 sq metres/litre per coat depending on type of application and surface.
Rustins High Heat Black Paint is sold in 250ml / 500ml / 400ml (aerosol - 400ml only) containers.
